ASCEND CANNIBIS: FIND YOUR FIT BUDTENDER GUIDED DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

An Interactive Simply Herb + Ozone Experience at Retail

In this experience, we invite guests to move beyond simply asking, “What are you looking for?” and instead discover how they can shape their cannabis experience to feel, taste, and fit into their day.

The experience brings Simply Herb and Ozone to life through faux product packaging and a responsive digital display. When the budtender places, taps, or presents each package to the display, the screen unlocks a different layer of the brand story—introducing the product line, format, flavor and terpene profile, and the characteristics that make each option distinct.

The goal isn't to overwhelm consumers with a wall of products. It's to make the shelf feel intuitive, interactive, and personal.

Simply Herb keeps it simple. Ozone lets consumers explore their Zone.

FIND YOUR FIT: Interactive Experience Flow Overview

A. ENGAGE: Capture guest’s attention with a simple question that invites consumers to think about what they want from their cannabis experience. Faux Simply Herb and Ozone packaging activates the digital display, introducing two distinct brand worlds and encouraging consumers to explore.

B1. EXPLORE — SIMPLY HERB: Introduce Simply Herb as a straightforward, approachable way to shop cannabis. Use the interactive display to explore the brand’s product formats and help consumers quickly narrow options based on their preferences.

B2. EXPLORE — OZONE: Shift into the more exploratory world of Ozone, highlighting strains, formats, flavor and terpene profiles. The digital experience invites consumers to go deeper into the details behind each product and discover what catches their interest.

C. DISCOVER: Bring Simply Herb and Ozone together to help consumers understand the differences between the two brands. The experience reframes the menu around the things consumers care about most—format, flavor, profile and personal preference.

D. PERSONALIZE: Turn product exploration into a tailored conversation. The budtender uses the digital display to capture the consumer’s preferences and surface products that align with what they’re looking for, making the experience feel personal and relevant.

E. CLOSE / GIVE: End with a clear takeaway: there are multiple ways to find a product that fits. The budtender reinforces the distinction between Simply Herb and Ozone, answers final questions, and encourages the consumer to continue exploring the brands through the display and in-store.

BUDTENDER SCRIPT

A. ENGAGE

“Hi! I’m <budtender name>. Can I ask you a question? When you're shopping cannabis, do you usually know exactly what you want, or do you like to explore a little?”

<The budtender draws the guest in with two faux packages representing the two brands.>

“Because at Ascend, there are a couple of very different ways to find your fit.”

<Budtender gestures toward the display.>

“So let's see what sounds more like you.”

B1. EXPLORE — SIMPLY HERB

<Budtender places the Simply Herb package on the display. The Simply Herb experience activates.>

“Let's start with Simply Herb.”

“Simply Herb takes a straightforward approach to cannabis. The brand offers options across flower, pre-rolls, vapes, smalls and shake, so there's more than one way to keep things simple.”

“Maybe you're looking for flower. Maybe you'd rather have a pre-roll. Maybe you're interested in a vape. The display lets us narrow it down based on what you actually like.”

<Budtender selects Flower on screen.>

“Let's say flower is your preference.”

“From here, we can look at the strain, cannabinoid and terpene information, then talk about what those details mean for the experience you're looking for.”

<Display reveals rotating product cards with strain name, format, cannabinoid information, terpene information and current menu data.>

“For example, a Simply Herb flower listing might highlight its strain type, terpene profile, flavor notes and reported effects. The important thing is that we're starting with your preferences, then using the product information to narrow things down.”

<Budtender taps a featured strain. Optional interaction: Budtender asks the consumer to choose one.>

“What sounds better to you: something citrusy, something earthy, something sweet, or something more herbal?”

<Display filters based on selection.>

“There we go. Now we're getting somewhere.”

<Budtender returns to the Simply Herb home screen.>

“And we don't have to stop at flower.”

“Simply Herb also offers pre-rolls, vape carts, all-in-one vapes, smalls and shake.”

<Budtender taps through the faux packages or screen icons.>

“So the question becomes: what format fits the way you like to shop?”

<Screen visually organizes the products by format.>

B2. EXPLORE — OZONE

“Now let's take a look at Ozone.”

<Budtender places the Ozone package on the display. Ozone experience activates.>

“Ozone is for those who want to explore a little deeper—different strains, different formats, different flavor and terpene profiles.”

“Ascend's Ozone listings describe the line as featuring quality cannabis and unique strains that have been pheno hunted and grown with care, along with flower and flavorful vapes.”

“Start with flower.”

<Budtender taps Flower.>

“Here we can see exactly what we're working with—strain type, cannabinoids, terpene information, flavor notes and the reported effects associated with this particular product.”

<Display opens a featured strain.>

“Let's say you tend to gravitate toward citrus.”

<Display filters to relevant products.>

“Now we're exploring the menu through flavor and profile, instead of simply picking a package because the name looks interesting.”

<Budtender selects a terpene or flavor profile. Budtender selects another filter.>

“Or maybe your priority is format.”

<Display cycles through categories.>

“Ozone currently includes flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles and concentrates, so there's room to explore depending on what kind of product you're shopping for.”

C. DISCOVER — THE TWO BRANDS SIDE BY SIDE

“Here's the fun part.”

“Neither of these is about memorizing a giant list of strains. It's about knowing what matters to you.”

<The display presents Simply Herb and Ozone together.>

“Do you want something straightforward? Start with Simply Herb.”

<Simply Herb package highlights.>

“Want to spend a little more time exploring strains, flavor profiles and different formats?”

“Let's explore Ozone.”

<Ozone package highlights.>

“And remember, the same strain name or category doesn't necessarily tell you everything you need to know. That's why we can use the information on the display to look at the current product details together.”

<Display shows side-by-side comparison fields.>

D. PERSONALIZE

“Whichever direction you go, the goal is simple: find the product information that matters to you, ask questions, and find your fit. Now that we’ve explored Simply Herb and Zone together, what are you shopping for today?”

<Wait for response>

“And what format do you prefer?”

<Wait for response or suggest options with explanations of each>

“Any flavor or terpene profiles you tend to enjoy?”

<Wait for response or share information on terpenes>

“Perfect. Here are a few options to explore.”

<Budtender uses display to reveal a small selection.>

“Would you like to save these selections for a future purchase?”

<The display changes to a simple “Build Your Profile” interface. Help guest with profile if necessary.>

E. CLOSE / GIVE

<Display returns to the two-brand interface.>

“Simply Herb gives you a straightforward way to explore cannabis across a range of formats.”

“Ozone gives you another way to go deeper into strains, flavor, terpenes and product formats. Let's see what's in your Zone today.”

“We’re here to help you find what fits you best. So take a look, ask questions, and let’s find your next favorite. Find your fit with Ascend Cannibis.”
