MARTHA STEWART: CUSTOM KITCHEN & BATH VANITY COLLECTIONS

Creative Direction/Art Direction/Furniture & Product Design/CMF Design/Manufacturing Liaison

Kitchens and baths have always held a central place in the Martha Stewart brand—spaces where beauty meets functionality, and where thoughtful design has the power to transform daily routines. With a long-standing reputation for excellence in homekeeping, Martha’s vision for these rooms goes far beyond surface aesthetics. A vision brought to life in partnership with The Home Depot, redefining what mass-custom cabinetry could offer in terms of personalization, quality, and style. Drawing on deep consumer insights and Martha’s own design principles, the result was a line of kitchen and bath cabinetry that blended timeless elegance with real-world functionality, establishing new standards for accessible luxury.

In the kitchen category, I led the concept and development of a customizable cabinetry system that introduced a fresh, editorial aesthetics to the big-box retail space. The collection broke from traditional norms by introducing a palette of soft, trend-driven colors, as well as brand-relevant door styles, and elevated organizational features inspired by how people actually cook and live. Custom inserts for tea and coffee, spice organization, pet-focused storage, and appliance-friendly layouts helped turn the kitchen into a truly livable centerpiece of the home. Every detail—from hardware to finish—was curated with the goal of balancing Martha’s sophisticated style with functional solutions that resonated across a broad range of consumers.

In the bath category, the collection extended Martha’s design sensibility into vanities and bath storage solutions that were equally refined and highly practical. Whether for compact powder rooms or master suite renovations, each vanity was designed with material beauty and user experience in mind. Integrated storage, coordinated hardware, and thoughtful layout options helped elevate these pieces beyond standard bath furniture. The color and finish strategy mirrored the kitchen collection, offering homeowners a sense of continuity across their interiors. With over 1,000 SKUs launched and featured widely in lifestyle publications and influencer channels, the kitchen and bath lines quickly became signature offerings in The Home Depot’s design portfolio—proof of what happens when smart retail strategy meets expert creative direction.
