SMILEACTIVES: RETAIL PACKAGING AND CLUB STORE ACTIVATION
Brand Research/Creative Direction/Art Direction/Graphic Development/Manufacturing Liaison
As Smileactives prepared to shift from their direct-to-consumer model to national retail placement in Sam’s Club and Costco, the brand needed a packaging system that would stand out in a crowded dental aisle while resonating with a broader consumer base. I led the creative development by grounding the redesign in retail-specific consumer research—uncovering visual and messaging cues that influence purchase behavior in the oral care category and have a known history with the brand. The new packaging highlighted the brand’s Pro Whitening Gel in a clean, professional, and approachable format, designed to signal efficacy and trust at a glance.
To support the retail rollout, I also developed a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose point-of-purchase display tailored to big-box environments, ensuring both visibility and ease of replenishment. My involvement extended through production, offering print-ready assets and working directly with vendors to manage quality at scale. This comprehensive approach enabled Smileactives to confidently enter retail with a clear, compelling brand presence built to convert at shelf.
